We love using independent home stores when designing our customers' homes. You can always find interesting individual pieces that you can’t always find on the high street. And most importantly, we love supporting amazing small businesses!
We have shared our favourite five independent home stores that all have beautiful items - whether you’re looking for accessories to style your shelves, cushions to dress your sofa or beautiful artwork for your walls. These fabulous stores will have you covered!
Josie's Interiors
Josie’s Interiors is a contemporary store in the heart of Bideford, Devon, that has unique and on trend pieces, offering something a little different. They are also the winner of Devon's best interiors store for four years running! If you love a boho scandi look then Josie’s Interiors is perfect with their mix of Terracotta vases, natural woods, berber cushions and rattan accessories. A firm favourite of ours is the trailing string of pearls. This artificial plant works great for shelving and is such amazing value!!

House Interiors
House Interiors is based in Thirsk North Yorkshire, and owned by Kelly and Soph. We of course love the fact that their business is female founded, just like ours!! They sell a gorgeous range of home accessories. If you’re looking for pieces that have a luxurious style then this is the place. One of our favourites from their range is the gold seashell vases. The small and large vases work beautifully paired together or you could style one of them with other accessories. House Interiors have a lovely mix of accessories from luxury pieces with gold finishes, boho, scandi and contemporary, there is something for everyone!

Alice in Scandiland
Alice in Scandiland has been based in the beautiful Cornish town of Lostwithiel since 2018. It all began with Alice’s award winning blog all about her home renovation. From there she opened a shop on Instagram selling vintage homewares which led to the opening of the beautiful store. As the name suggests, if you love the scandi look, you need to visit! It is filled with truly interesting pieces and we particularly love the unique artwork - as do many of our customers. If you like art that creates a talking piece and a feature then you will love their collection by Fine Little Day.

Liv’s
Liv’s is a beautiful store bringing you a collection of cool, distinctive and current homewares along with quality furniture. Liv’s is based in Solihull, and the store reflects its Norwegian founder's Scandinavian outlook on life. It has a lovely relaxed, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Something catches your eye in every direction, the shop is filled with beautiful and interesting pieces. We particularly love the hand painted black and cream vase. With the painted style this is an individual piece and no two will be the same. Group it together with candles and a photo frame or let it be a statement on its own!

House By Betty is founded by Lauren and located in Carmarthen, Wales. The products chosen for the store are all chosen by Lauren, buying what she loves in hope that her customers will love it just as much! We really love how quirky and colourful the pieces are, from fabulous bright recycled cotton rugs to funky animal artwork. If you are drawn to a bohemian style filled with colour then you’ll love House By Betty. We love working with colour and creating schemes for our customers that have interesting, bold colour palettes so we absolutely will be using their rugs in our designs.
